WELCOME TO SUTTON CHRISTIAN CENTRE
Welcome to the website of Sutton Christian Centre, in the London Borough of Sutton. We hope that you will find the site helpful and that you find the information you’re looking for.
We have Sunday live streamed meetings and midweek groups, held in our church building in Tate Road, but more importantly Sutton Christian Centre is about relationships… our relationship with God and friendship with each other. We aim to encourage and build people up to equip them for ministry and our ambition is to be a resource to other churches and those in need in our community – to shine God’s love into our society.
Sutton Christian Centre is a Pentecostal church in fellowship with the Assemblies of God in Great Britain and Ireland. We are also members of the Connections UK group of churches and the Evangelical Alliance, and have links with the local network of churches in Sutton, Surrey.

SCC runs a number of groups for 0 – 11 year olds.
These are;
Creche
A crèche is provided during our morning Communion services. This is for babies and toddlers aged 0-3 years only.
Beginners
10.45 – 12 noon Sundays
Beginners is the Sunday School for 3-5 year olds, and includes praying, singing, a Bible-based story and activity. It is designed to help each child to gain an understanding of the things of God.
On reaching the grand old age of 5, the children are “promoted” to King’s Club.
There is no Beginners on our All Age Service Sundays.
King’s Club
10.45am – 12 noon Sundays King’s Club is for the 5-11s (Year 1 – Year 6) and is a lively mixture of games and quizzes, crafts and memory verses, worship and teaching. Our aim is to help children become active in all aspects of their faith.
King’s Club takes place in the front room of the church house.
Child Protection
We put a high priority on child protection and health and safety at Sutton Christian Centre. Our workers are police-checked and have received training in child protection matters (or are currently undergoing training/checks). A copy of our Child Protection Policy is available on request.
SCC Youth
11am-12pm Sundays
Our youth meetings on Sunday mornings are aimed at 11-18 year olds. We join with the rest of the church for worship and communion, before heading off to play games, eat chocolate and learn about God.
Connect Groups
8-10pm alternate Tuesdays
Our church meets in small groups in homes around the borough. These Connect Groups are an expression of the life of the church and focus on relationships, providing a safe environment to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ, each other, and in relating to our community.
S.H.A.P.E.
12.30-2.00pm Mondays
Sutton’s Health and Prayer Evening (S.H.A.P.E.) aims to encourage and support members as they try to lose weight. The afternoon involves prayer, as well as getting on the scales!
SCC Men
SCC Men is the group for the men in the church. In the past we have played table tennis together, walked together…and eaten together! Please watch this space for news of further events for the men.
SCC Ladies
Serving, leading and equipping women to realise their potential and be actively involved in the life of Sutton Christian Centre.
SCC Ladies has developed different interest groups, such as card making, meeting for meals, etc., which enable the women of our church to develop relationships with each other and to help them reach out to those who don’t yet know God personally. These groups feed into the main SCC:Ladies events which have a definite spiritual focus. Again, watch this space for news of future events.
